Once again, thanks to Martin, we've got loads of photos from the day. I'll spread them over a few posts and they are in no particular order.

Wickham Market Tournament

This was the last tournament of the season. After this it's time for a well earned rest.

The tournament was played as a league again, with the top two teams playing a final. It was also a bit different as it was 5 aside. Luckily they decided to play normal rules. So no dubious penalty decisions to worry about.

There were three clubs involved, Us, Wickham market and Witnesham. Each playing an A and B team.

None of our teams made it to the final this time but we had some great games and I think a good time was had by all.

The final was between Witnesham A & B team, with the A team winning with almost the last kick of the ball.

As with the previous posts i'll list out the results and post the photos afterwards.

A Team

F&W A 0-0 Witnesham B

A tight start

A close game and narrow defeat.

F&W A 5-0 F&W B

Ryan 2/ Charlie 2/ Jake 1

Not such a close game. The B's were overpowered for most of the game. They had a couple of attacks without really troubling the A's defence. The A's thoroughly deserved the game.

F&W A 5-0 Wickham B

The A's continued their fine scoring run to comfortable win this game.

Another strong performance as Charlie and Ryan continued to knock the goals in.

A fantastic performance all round. Played 5. Only lost 1 game. Scored 13. Conceded 1!!!

The A's very narrowly missed out on their second final of the year.

The B Team

Wickham A 5-0 F&W B

This game was actually a bit closer than the scoreline suggests. The difference was, that they took their chances and we didn't. Overall the team played some good football.

Matty 3/ Imaani 1

This is more like it. Some great linking play and passing. A well deserved win under our belts.

Freddie 1

Despite losing, this was actually our best team performance on the day. Witnesham took the lead early on. We equalised and looked the better team, right up until they scored in the last minute!! It's a cruel game.

This was also the game where our new keeper, Sam realised that he could make more saves by coming off his line. A series of great point blank saves kept us in the game.

F&W B 0-2 Witnesham A

Another good performance against a good team. We could have lost by more, but a combination of staunch defending and goal keeping kept us in the game.

Overall I think we've made some great strides forward. We conceded more than we scored but we played like a team and can look forward to the new season.
