The A team at Ransomes

The A's (plus three old blokes) with their trophies.












Apologies to the A team for the briefness of this post. I wasn't able to watch their games and I don't have a record of the scores or scorers!! Not a good start eh?
Mark is trying to dig out his notes, as soon as I get them I'll post them.

Basically they had a superb tournament. The goals were flying in thick and fast. Ryan scored two or three directly from corners!! I know that Charlie also got a few. But more details to follow.

The A's v B's team was a very enjoyable game. I think Matty got the decisive goal!

We were very unlucky to lose to rivals Trimley 1-0 with a last minute free kick.

The top of the table was very tight and we needed Claydon Blacks to get a result against Trimley in the final game. (The B's were playing on the other pitch, it was very distracting!!!)

We got the result and went through to the final against Ransomes.

It was another very tight game with chances created at both ends. Unfortunately Ransomes scored the winning goal right at the end of the game with a well worked free kick.

Well done to the A's. It was a fantastic aceivement getting to the final.
